Granular Permissions

Invite your team, set permissions, and control read/write access

  1. If you click the share button in the top-right corner of any design, you can now invite your team to collaborate on the design.
  2. You can also control who has access to the design.

Other updates:

  • Better error handling
  • Component source code included when possible in code export
  • Improved AI context handling
  • Ability to rename components
  • New /Debug and /Discuss commands

New Dashboard and Custom Components

”Chats” renamed to “Designs” and “Projects” renamed to “Canvas”

  1. We revamped our dashboard: magicpatterns.com/dashboard
  2. We renamed “Projects” to “Canvas”

Users consistently referred to the infinite canvas as “the canvas.” So, we renamed it. Naming is hard. Internally, we called it “Spaces,” then settled on “Projects.” But it got extra confusing when people referred to chats as “projects.” We are listening to the community here and officially renamed it to “Canvas.”

More excitingly, we revamped the dashboard to show libraries and components.

Feedback Collection and Password Protection

We’re excited to announce two major features:

  1. Structured feedback collection
  2. Password protection for shared designs

You can now gather feedback directly through Magic Patterns by configuring custom questions for stakeholders.

Additionally, you can secure your shared prototypes with password protection to control who has access to your designs.
